Shalom Sweethearts! God has been directing my attention towards our children lately as they make the integral part of the family.
This introductory scripture is making us understand that there is a war on going which most persons aren't aware of because you don't need guns and armour cars to fight. The war is the need to train up our child in the way they should go though at some persons make the mistake of saying grow. It is important to note that word GO because one day your ward will grow up and leave you finally I'm not even talking about the aspect of them leaving you for the boarding or school hostels as undergraduates only.
Have you observed when you meet an adult you could tell if he was properly brought up or not by the way he acts in public. It is not enough to complain I think it is high time we started looking out for the foundation of our future adults who will grow to become Gospel Ministers , Presidents, CEOs and so on. If actions are not taken they may end up becoming bad leaders in Ministry (Hence fake and false Pastors), Politics and places of work.
If you have observed lately especially with the presence of the internet we get to know what is happening around us and far from us too. Most of the news are usually negative news. We hear news of crimes and other atrocities. It was observed that in 2014/2015 over 200,000 women / girls were sexually abused in one way or the other in France. This led them to passing a law against sexual harassment in July, 2018 thus, making those found guilty paying as much as 700 euros including spending some months in jail depending on the judgement passed. What led to all these it is simply because of failed responsibilities and we are quick to blame people for what we failed to do as parents, teachers, elders and so on. It is our core responsibility to nurture our children the age notwithstanding.I must emphasize that The responsibility starts from the Parents.
Parents please just don't stop at making sure the children get the best education and shelter. I'm writing this as a wake up to all parents and intending parents to brace yourself and face the truth and do your part. These adults committing various crimes were once children. It will be noted that they were children who didn't have a proper training. You may want to say how about those who neglected advises but I will say out of ten at least eight will adhere if done properly because they are children and they learn easily.
When do start to train my ward?
I will say it better to start very early than to start late. Start speaking to them even from the womb decree upon them what you what them to become. I will say so because we have to do it the Godway. If God could ordained Jeremiah before he was formed them it means God is point out a strength for us to utilize(Jer. 1:5).
Then as soon as they given birth to all you need to do is a follow up. I must emphasize that this is real work, you must be ready to pay the price as a parent. As time goes by I will be sharing some experiences I have had in time past on things to watch out for.
