THE FORMER THINGS

Ecclesiastes  7:10 Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.

Hello! It is good to have you here again in our wonderful platform. I will not forget to wish you a happy new month. Well it obvious we have just four months to 2020.
It has been an awesome year I guess for but if you are not so satisfied what might be the reason? Is there something you are not doing right or is there something you doing wrong which I will like to discuss now.

Swimming in Past Glory
The good thing about yesterday is that  today will become yesterday by tomorrow. So however we want it there must be a yesterday but I want to dwell on a major issue that have stopped people from achieving much because of yesterday.
Apostle Paul  in Philippians  3:13 said Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, If you  keep dwelling on past success and past achievements, you will never think or see better. The truth is whatever you have done yesterday no matter how amazing, is gone. I know this so well because i'm a Sales Person; when targets are achieved for the month, the next day another one starts counting that's how it is done. So if you keep looking back how will you move forward? Nobody will help you with this aspect you just have to tell yourself that whatever you have done is past and you have another task ahead of you; just like Apostle Paul did.

Decisions of Yesterday
Have you ever been in a situation where you had to make a major decision in life or God told to engage in a task that to beyond the usual; especially when it has to do with you leaving your comfort zone. Hmmmm..... I see because I can relate. The truth is God wants the best for us, so whenever you are told by Him to do a thing Just do it and if you feel like taking a major decision due to dissatisfaction( not for selfish reasons)  Please do without any apology. You deserve to be truly happy not fake it.
Now, don't be tempted to think that you made a wrong decision due to some challenges you may face on the way. If you care to notice the Children of Israel always made that mistake; they were always remembering Egypt whenever there was a challenge to the extent that they wished they had even died there. Don't be like them don't be tempted to feel so take responsibility for your decision and know that if you must make it is up to you Because God's side is settled already. If you keep thinking of past privileges due to the fact that you have left your comfort zone, you will not grow fast or even learn what God wants you to learn.
So in all you can visit your past but don't stay there or make it a habit to always visiting it in order to feel good.
This is what God is saying in Isaiah  43:18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. God is saying I know you have quit that abusive relationship don't think about the past fun anymore because He will do a new thing, He will give you someone who will appreciate you. God is saying I know you resigned that job to somewhere better but where you got there it seemed where you left was better than the new place, He is saying don't worry I will do a new thing. God is saying I know you changed your location to have a better life but things are yet to get better; He is saying don't worry I will do a new thing. No matter how good your past decisions may have been, you can make this present one work well if only you will stop dwelling in the past.
Thanks so much for reading,God bless you.
